We do not trade for you
HorizonAI is a software tool for writing, testing and organising trading strategies. The Service:
- does not place, schedule, modify, or cancel live orders;
- does not connect to your brokerage, exchange, or wallet;
- does not hold, custody, transfer, or have authority over your funds;
- does not act as your broker, adviser, commodity trading advisor, fund manager, or agent.
If you export code to TradingView, MetaTrader 5, NinjaTrader, a VPS, or anywhere else, you are trading (or not) on your own account with that third party. HorizonAI has no control over that activity and no duty to supervise it.
Not advice, not a recommendation
Nothing on the website, in the application, in Quant Mode, in chat, in documentation, or in any grade or report is financial product advice, a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any instrument, or a representation that a strategy is suitable for you. We do not know your objectives, financial situation, or needs. If you need advice, speak to a licensed professional.
Quant Mode and grades
Quant Mode runs automated research: it can pick or follow a recipe, write strategy code, backtest it, iterate, stress-test it, and attach a letter grade (F through S). Agents can repeat that on a schedule. Those steps happen inside our software. They are not us trading your account, and they are not us telling you to go live.
A high grade means the simulated results scored well under rules we chose. It does not mean the strategy will make money, will survive live costs, or is appropriate for you. "Approve", "Promoted", "Approved", "winner", or similar labels are how the workspace files an idea. They are not an endorsement. Stress-test PASS / WARN / FAIL results are threshold checks, not a guarantee of robustness or of future performance. We can change the grading method at any time.
Historical backtests are not live results
HorizonAI backtests use real historical market prices. The numbers are still hypothetical performance: the trades were not placed, filled, or funded in a live account. Costs, starting capital, position rules, and the date range are assumptions. A grade is a score of that history, not a prediction of what happens next and not a direction to go live.
Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. No representation is being made that any account will, or is likely to, achieve profits or losses similar to those shown. In fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any particular trading program.
One limitation of hypothetical results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk in actual trading. For example, the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results, all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
In HorizonAI those other factors include, without limitation:
- modelled spread, commission and slippage that will not match your broker;
- gaps, thin liquidity, halted markets, news spikes, and weekend risk;
- look-ahead bugs, overfitting, short samples, and testing after you have seen the answer;
- differences between our testers and the platform you later trade on;
- leverage, overnight financing, corporate actions, and crypto-specific operational risk;
- the fact that a strategy which "worked" on past candles can fail immediately in live conditions.
Past performance is not indicative of future results. A historical backtest is not a live track record.
Trading can lose money
Trading leveraged products — including forex, CFDs, futures, options, and many crypto markets — carries a substantial risk of loss. You can lose more than your initial margin. You should only trade capital you can afford to lose. HorizonAI does not and cannot protect you from those losses, because we are not in the trade.
Generated code can be wrong. A beautiful backtest can be a bug. A stress-test PASS can still blow up live. You must review and independently test anything you consider running with real money.
You decide what happens next
After a hunt, a backtest, or a grade, the next step — ignore it, change it, paper trade it, export it, or trade it live — is entirely yours. HorizonAI has no obligation to warn you, to stop you, or to monitor the result. Use of the Service is at your sole risk, as set out in the Terms of Service.
